Detective Kip Funkstache finds himself entangled in a case that would take him further into the dark corners of his mind and soul than he'd cared to go before.
Sure, he'd lost partners. Three in as many years. Two of which he cared for. Any cop with a penchant for danger knows that's one of the rules of the game. Kip didn't like rules.
He'd lost loves as well. Too many to count. This time it was different. It was her.
Taken in broad daylight from the cabana of their Miami Beach condo. He was being sent a message. He was the reason why. He could only blame himself but this wasn't the time for regret. Kip sought only vengeance now.
